Holiday Content Ideas

You want to connect with your current and past patients throughout the holiday season, but what will you talk about?

People are busy with the hustle and the bustle, and you're busy too.

That's why I recommend you keep things short, sweet, and simple. Remind your patients you are here for them. Give some tips that will give them a quick win or some insights that will leave them feeling inspired. Here are six holiday content ideas to get you started...

1. Recipes

Food is a huge part of the holidays. Send out healthy alternatives to some of the classic holiday foods. Encourage your readers not only to test out your recipe but also to share it on social. People love to talk about food and share recipes with their friends—especially as the holidays approach.

2. Immune Support

The holidays fall right in the middle of the cold and flu season. Many people are getting on airplanes and worried about getting sick. If you can draft a few quick tips for immune support, you may just become their new favorite person.

3. Stress

The holidays are fun but stressful! Send out a quick email or social post to remind your followers of a few ways to strengthen their resilience to stress. This topic gives you the opportunity to introduce people to some of your favorite adapaptogens. You might even want to do a short promotion to encourage them to purchase a product from your dispensary.

4. Self-Care

Handling the stress of the holidays means more than just taking some adaptogenic herbs. Share an Instagram Story about your favorite self-care routine, or send an email with three quick tips.

5. Gratitude

The holidays inspire us to appreciate our blessings. Take a moment to reflect on the things you are grateful for. Share them with your patients and offer ideas of how they can cultivate more gratitude in their everyday lives.

6. Resolutions

As the New Year approaches, people begin to think of how they can become better versions of themselves. Maybe you can help them with that! Talk about how your products or services can improve their health, well-being, and happiness. You may just earn a new patient.

Why Create Holiday Content?

Even if you haven't been creating consistent content throughout the year, creating holiday content is a MUST.

During the holidays, people EXPECT to hear from those who they haven't heard from in awhile. They also ENJOY it.

Whether you are emailing current patients or sending out info to an email list you haven't contacted in ages, you just might reap some of these benefits:

  • Former patients will be inspired to get back on track with your care
  • Email subscribers will be reminded of your practice and call you up
  • People who had forgotten about your practice will mention you to their Aunt Marge at a dinner party (just checking if you're still with me here)
  • Current patients will feel special and loved

How to Share Holiday Content

No matter what type of communication you send, remember that this is the magic of the holidays. Motivate your readers to take action, but be sure that every word you say comes from the heart. Here are some ways to reach out:

  • Email
  • Social Media Posts
  • Social Media Stories
  • Blogs
  • Videos
  • Holiday Open House
  • Even snail mail!

The options are endless. Think of how you want to connect, brainstorm ways you want people to engage, and then go for it. If you get writer's block, just jump back to the holiday content ideas here.
